Global Roots. Local Impact.
Final Third Foundation’s mission was shaped on the fields of Likoni, Kenya — and lives on through our work with youth and families across Central Ohio.
From Likoni to Columbus
Global Roots • Local ImpactIn 2011, our founder helped launch the Likoni Community Football League (LCFL) in Likoni-Mombasa, Kenya — a community-driven effort using soccer to create belonging, mentorship, and opportunity for kids. That experience became the blueprint for how we show up today: in partnership, with purpose, and with a commitment to removing barriers to play, learn, and grow.
- 2011: Roots in Likoni, Kenya — soccer as connection and community.
- Today: Central Ohio programs blending soccer, literacy, wellness, and environmental learning.
- Always: A global mindset, local relationships, and youth-first impact.
Why we share this
Our Kenya story isn’t separate from our work in Columbus — it’s the foundation. It reminds us that soccer can create access, strengthen community, and open doors for young people everywhere.
