F3 Soccer & Literacy The Final Third Foundation Soccer & Literacy Program uses the power of sport to uplift communities. We support a youth development model that focuses on organizing programs that combine soccer with the following skills:
Teamwork and leadership building
Higher-order thinking skills (e.g. critical thinking, problem solving)
Comprehension and vocabulary development
Reading and writing fluency
Interdisciplinary connections (Science, Technology, English, Arts, and Math content)
Culturally relevant and sustainable pedagogy
Discussion-based, student-centered inquiry
Program Managers (PMs) play a crucial role in delivering high-quality programming to partner schools in the local area. PMs work in pairs/groups at assigned locations, focusing on both the soccer and literacy aspects of the program. Specific duties will be assigned and outlined to each PM before the start of their program, ensuring a well-coordinated and effective delivery. Responsibilities and Duties:
Complete pre-program checklist and required trainings.
Arrive at schools with ample time to set up before the program commencement.
Manage program materials for your assigned school, including books, pencils, worksheets, and soccer equipment.
Take attendance during each program session to track participation.
Follow the outlined curriculum to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
Maintain open communication with F3 and school staff, providing updates, addressing issues, and fulfilling program necessities.
Distribute surveys during the first week of programming and report completed surveys to the assigned Data Manager.
Check in regularly with F3 staff to ensure alignment with program objectives.
Work collaboratively to exceed all program goals.
Qualifications:
Reliable transportation for commuting to assigned locations.
Ability to work with children and maintain a friendly, calm, and patient demeanor at all times.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Ability to set rules and guidelines for children to follow, ensuring a positive and structured program environment.
High organizational and planning skills to manage program materials and sessions efficiently.
