Final Third Foundation · 2027 Funding Opportunities
Her team.
Her confidence.
Her opportunity.
Girls Soccer, Wellness & Literacy
A whole-child approach to expanding access for girls—at school,
at summer camp and on the soccer field.
Our annual fundraising goal for girls programming
We are bringing together grants, individual donors and sponsors to create consistent opportunities for girls to participate, build relationships and develop skills on and off the field.
The proposed 2027 opportunities below total $100,000–$105,000, depending on summer camp enrollment.
The Opportunity Starts with Belonging
Every girl
raised her hand.
Nineteen girls joined our all-girls program at Cassady Elementary. None reported playing on an organized soccer team.
When asked who wanted an F3 team, a coach and her own uniform, every girl raised her hand.
We are seeking partners to turn that enthusiasm into ongoing access to soccer, literacy and wellness experiences.
Soccer & Literacy in Action
See the opportunity come to life.
01 / Deepen Opportunities at Cassady Elementary
More time to play.
More room to grow.
A Second Day Each Week
F3 already provides after-school Soccer & Literacy once per week throughout the school year. This investment adds a second weekly day combining soccer and Health & Nutrition.
Approximately 30 additional sessions across winter, spring and fall 2027 would serve 20–25 girls per session. Funding includes jerseys, with goals of F3 scrimmages and eventual league play.
Three Weeks of Summer Camp
At $1,000 per girl, 20–25 girls can attend a three-week Soccer, Wellness & Education Camp session.
Existing grant funding will be reserved for a second three-week session for girls whose families choose to participate, offering up to six weeks of camp at no cost.
Together, these opportunities connect school-year participation with summer learning, wellness and a pathway into organized soccer.
02 / Equip Community Partners
Bring the program
to more girls.
The Soccer & Literacy for Girls Replication Fund would equip community organizations—such as YMCAs, YWCAs or Boys & Girls Clubs—to deliver F3’s girls-only curriculum, developed by Dr. Jessica Bennett and Dr. Leiah Groom-Thomas. F3 would train and support participating partners.
| Funding Allocation | Per Program | 10 Programs |
|---|---|---|
| Partner materials and program delivery | $4,000 | $40,000 |
| F3 training, ongoing support, data, reporting and auditing | $2,500 | $25,000 |
| Total Investment | $6,500 | $65,000 |
A Foundation for Expansion
F3 has replicated its coed Soccer & Literacy program with Cleveland Soccer Foundation, training its team to deliver the curriculum locally. That experience provides a model for girls-only programs with ongoing F3 support and shared data and reporting systems.
