Gary Blumberg is an international sports business lawyer, consultant, and entrepreneur with close to 30 years of experience. Born in South Africa, he is a dual British and U.S. citizen. He worked for a leading South African law firm before joining a major commercial partnership in London in 1993. Soon after, he established his own advisory practice, Blumberg & Co., specializing in the business of sport with a primary focus on soccer.

Throughout his career, Gary has advised and represented players, clubs, federations, promoters, event managers, sponsors, and professional firms across the global game. He also served as an Associate Lecturer in Sports Law at King's College London and has spoken widely on sports law, business, marketing, and governance.

For more than two decades, he has advised Lucas Radebe, the first African captain of an Premier League club and captain of South Africa national football team at the 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cups. He has also represented Brad Friedel, one of the most accomplished American players of his generation and former Head Coach of New England Revolution.

Gary is a Co-Founder and serves as Emeritus Board Member, recognized for his longstanding dedication, leadership, and commitment to advancing the organization’s mission of creating opportunities for youth through soccer, wellness, and education.
