F3 Weekly Update

We have to have a global mindset. When we interact with different cultures and different ways of life, these experiences are welcomed by F3 because they allow us to grow as human beings and see outside the bubble we may be living in. How else could we choose to live? How do others live their daily lives? What brings happiness or what is important for one culture/community may be different for another. A global mindset allows you to take a step back, look at things more from a macro level, 20,000 ft view, and simply be patient as we work to support the communities we serve.

This mindset also allows us to be patient with ourselves and to slow down and take that deep breath everyone needs each and every day. It allows us to acknowledge how small we really are when comparing ourselves to the world and the universe, and that slowly allows us to remove our ego from anything we do. And if and when we remove our ego from the equation, we truly become a part of a team working together towards our mission.

You, as an F3 employee, need to be a teammate working towards our mission, which unfortunately is and will be never-ending. Our mission in the end is to bring communities together so they can see eye to eye - it’s to humanize at the youngest ages to make the next generation, simply a better one - a healthier, more inclusive one. Yes, we start with the global game - that is the connector. I love this game because of what it can do - it's a global game for everyone and a universal language - that is why I work so hard each day for F3. Why do you work for F3? Ask yourself that question everyday and make sure it is consistent with our mission. 

Come out and watch on a Saturday morning if you’re free! There is a lot of talent out there with these clubs that are participating!

The 7th annual Columbus Nations Cup is quickly approaching as we are less than 2 weeks away! I hope you all can make it! I will be reaching out to each of you to see if you can help during the day of the event.

Reach out to Taylor (taylor@finalthirdfoundation.org) if you would like to form a team or play in the event, etc. If you are an employee with F3 we do expect you to attend and help out with the event!

Through this new collaboration, F3 will partner with the City of Whitehall Parks and Recreation to provide recreational league play, coaching and referee education, and seasonal soccer camps and clinics.

This is what F3 is about! Adding value to the infrastructure already in place - partnering with Whitehall Parks and Recreation to bring the knowledge, expertise and programming we have to their community.

We’d like to welcome Josie, who joined the team in May 2025 and is currently pursuing her degree in Strategic Communication at The Ohio State University.

As a communications and strategy intern, she helps manage the company’s social media presence, edits the website, and assists with our new HubSpot platform and marketing campaigns.

We hope you are already seeing a difference!

Last week F3 coaches (Rafa, Mike and Murjan) ran a very successful and fun summer soccer camp.

The second week of camp will be held on July 14th - 18th. Coach Malik will be joining as well! This is a great camp! Make sure to reach out to Taylor if you know anyone interested in registering or want more info!

We’ve officially partnered with Bexley Recreation & Parks for the 3 and 4-year-old program to bring our Tiny Tots program to the Bexley community.

This will include Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday programming this coming fall.

We’re also currently working with Whitehall Parks & Recreation to expand our partnership by adding programming for 3- and 4-year-olds as well.

F3 and Columbus Global Academy are hosting a car wash on Saturday, July 19th from 9 AM to 10 AM at 1450 E Main St. in Columbus. We are still looking for donations such as towels, sponges, car washing soap, or any other supplies that can help!
